Brooks Studios

Brooks Studios were created from an existing 14-room motel built in the 1960s.  The new fully furnished studios feature Milano Living cabinetry with a built-in sofa/murphy bed to maximize the space and livability of each micro-living unit.  Each unit uses radiant heating and cooling in the floors and ceilings, respectively, to optimize energy efficiency.  Radiant heating and cooling work by transferring heat directly to the objects and people in the room, rather than warming or cooling the air. This method of heating and cooling can be more energy-efficient than traditional forced-air systems because it requires less energy to maintain a comfortable temperature.
