Mitchell Apartments

Under construction in Mar Vista and set for completion in 2024, Mitchell Apartments are the product of a state density bonus that allowed the owner building to add six extra units while providing two low income units. Architecturally, the density bonus also allowed Breakform Design to increase the height of the building by two floors topping out at six floors. With a cool and generous feel and a double-height wood-clad entry, one of the key design challenges was creating a welcoming arrival without a lobby as a result of ground-floor parking.
