Breakform Design is a full-service architecture and design firm, General Contractor, and Metal Fabrication specialist, dedicated to creating spaces that seamlessly blend function, beauty, and craftsmanship. Originating as a metal fabrication company, Breakform Design is renowned for its meticulous attention to detail and its use of raw materials such as glass, metal, wood, concrete, and landscape to craft timeless, authentic designs. The firm provides a comprehensive range of services, including:

Meet the Team


  • Founder and President, Principal Architect

    Founder and President of Breakform Design, Ramsey Daham is a licensed architect and general contractor. Under Ramsey’s leadership, Breakform Design has evolved from a small metal shop to a highly respected and fully-integrated design + build + fabrication office.

    Ramsey is a two-time elected board member to the Venice Neighborhood Council’s Land Use and Planning Committee and is actively involved in the local community. He has a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Architecture from University at Buffalo. When work allows, he can be found on the golf course.


  • Partner, Design Director

    As the Design Director and Partner of the Architecture side of Breakform Design, Phil has been leading projects since his first day in the office. Phil brings our client’s visions and program needs to life in unique and resolved ways. He works closely with our project teams and is highly involved in all phases of our projects, from concept to built project and everything between. Phil has been with Breakform Design since 2011.

    Phil is influenced by his international architectural experience while working at large firms after Grad school. He has worked on projects in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, South Korea, Finland, Poland, and all over the United States. He has a Master of Architecture degree from Southern California Institute of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a Minor in Community Development from Portland State University. When he finds time to be away from the office, he can be found in the mountains with his family.

  • Controller

    With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, John began his career working in construction trailers alongside project teams in the field before advancing into corporate finance and leadership roles. His experience has given him a unique understanding of both field operations and the financial side of the business, with a particular focus on cash flow, forecasting, and providing financial analysis to support short- and long-term strategic growth.

    Outside of the office, John enjoys spending time with his family, staying active through exercise, traveling, and spending time with his dog Mamba.

  • Partner, Construction Director

    At Breakform Design for over ten years, Tas Oszkay started as a fabricator and installer and worked his way up to his current position as Senior Construction Officer. Prior to Breakform, Tas honed his skills as a project architect for Marmol Radziner and a staff architect for the late Tomas Lugo; he also spent time in construction management for a family-run business. He’s the recipient of several industry awards and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and his Master’s degree in Architecture from UCLA. He was born in San Rafael, CA, and grew up in Milwaukee, WI.

  • Construction Project Manager

    Edmund Griffin brings a craftsman’s eye, design sensibility, and decades of hands-on experience to every project he builds. Raised in a Foreign Service family, Edmund spent much of his early life overseas, developing a broad perspective shaped by extensive international travel.

    His background spans art and architecture studies, custom furniture making, woodworking, home building, and construction management. For 20 years, Edmund worked as a custom furniture maker and woodworker for architects and designers throughout Los Angeles before transitioning into residential construction and project management. Over the past decade, he has managed high-end residential projects designed by some of Los Angeles’ most prominent architecture firms, including Belzberg Collective, McClean Design, and Walker Workshop.

    Edmund approaches projects of every scale with the attention to detail and appreciation for materials that come from his years as a craftsman. He values thoughtful design, quality execution, and the collaboration required to successfully bring an architect’s vision to life.

    Outside of work, Edmund enjoys art museums, film, woodworking, and escaping to the high desert. Most importantly, he enjoys spending time with his two young children, who continue to keep him motivated and inspired.

  • Architectural Designer

    Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, Aida is an architectural intern at Breakform Design and is studying architecture. She plays an active role in design, drafting, project coordination, and problem-solving across various phases of architecture. She works on a range of residential and commercial projects. From producing technical drawings and 3D models to researching codes, coordinating with consultants, and refining design details, she is deeply involved in shaping each project. With strong proficiency in architectural software, she combines creativity with technical expertise to deliver high-quality work. Outside of architecture, she enjoys Pilates, snowboarding, traveling, and photography.

  • Construction Project Manager

    Csaba is a Site Supervisor with 30 years of experience in residential construction.  His previous projects include approximately 15 new custom residences and 100 major residential renovations. He has been a licensed General Contractor since 1986.

  • Architectural Project Manager / Interior Designer

    Negin, originally from Tehran, is a graduate of the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Since joining Breakform Design in August 2018, she has contributed her expertise to both architectural and interior design, as well as overseeing the permitting process across various cities. Her experience spans a range of project types, from new high-end single-family homes to commercial developments. Negin also handles site supervision and coordinates contractor work. She is very interested in project construction and the build process. Before her time at Breakform, she worked with CNC Machines, a fabrication shop specializing in laser cutting and 3D printing.

  • Job Captain / Permit Expediter

    Marika is an Architectural Designer with extensive experience in architectural design, permit processing, and construction documentation for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects throughout California. Whether assisting with new construction, tenant improvements, renovations, or additions, she is committed to producing thoughtful designs and providing responsive support throughout every stage of the permitting and design process. 

    Outside of the office, you will find this foodie at different restaurants trying new food or casually strolling through the Disneyland Resort with a pretzel in hand.

  • Job Captain

    Born in London and raised in The Gambia, Charlotte brings a distinctive global perspective to her work at Breakform Design. After completing high school in Milton, Georgia, she earned her undergraduate degree at The Catholic University in Washington, D.C., before pursuing a Master of Architecture at the same institution. She also spent time abroad in Rome, where she developed her thesis and deepened her appreciation for architecture across different cultures. At Breakform, Charlotte contributes across all phases of design, from technical drawings and 3D modeling to code research and consultant coordination. Outside the office, Charlotte enjoys traveling, exploring museums, spending time on the tennis and pickleball courts, and staying on the pulse of film, media, and pop culture.

  • Fabrication Project Manager

    As Breakform Design’s Chief Technical Officer, Augustin Bernal has considerable experience in design and fabrication, electrical design, CAD, and computer science. A Los Angeles transplant formerly from Chicago, he’s held acclaimed roles at a variety of respected firms and companies, including Fiberglass Works, Norman Kelley, NK Design, Mads Christiansen, and Lucky 13. His work is widely informed by personal hobbies and interests, from art and design to 3D printing and photography. Augustin has a Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc in Los Angeles, a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Art History from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Computer Science degree from Udacity.

  • Project Accountant / HR Administrator

    Alicia serves as the Office Manager and Bookkeeper at Breakform Design, ensuring the seamless operation of the company’s day-to-day activities. From answering client inquiries and managing invoices to coordinating behind-the-scenes processes, Alicia is the backbone of the office, bringing efficiency and organization to every task she undertakes.

    Outside of work, Alicia has a zest for life and adventure. She enjoys exploring new destinations, challenging her skills on the tennis court, and diving into the strategic world of Mahjong. A devoted reader, she finds joy in everything from captivating novels to thought-provoking educational materials.

    Guided by her philosophy of harmonizing work and personal passions, Alicia approaches every endeavor with enthusiasm and dedication, embodying the values that drive Breakform Design forward.

  • Executive Assistant

    Camila Aguirre is an experienced Executive Assistant with a strong background in personal and executive support, organization, and day-to-day coordination. She helps keep schedules, priorities, and moving pieces on track while providing dependable support to the team. Known for her attention to detail, proactive approach, and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, Camila takes pride in creating structure and helping things run smoothly.

    Outside of the office, you will probably find her at the movies, taking a Pilates class, or enjoying a coffee at a local café.

  • Fabrication Lead

    As lead metal fabricator at Breakform Design, Juan Fuentes has 35 years of experience working with all types of metals. He has worked with metals such as steel, stainless steel, bronze, brass, copper, and aluminum. In his 35 years as a metal fabricator, he has worked for Gregory (Gadget) Abbott, Sallie Trout, Tom Farrage, and Lisa Krohn. Juan's work spreads from San Francisco to Los Angeles. He is meticulous and patient with the projects given to him, making him the best metal fabricator anyone can find. 

  • Architectural Designer

    Celine joined Breakform Design in November 2024 as an architectural designer for various projects including single-family, multi-family, and commercial tenant improvements, as well as overlooking the permitting process for them. Originally from San Gabriel Valley, CA, she graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor’s degree in architecture and is certified as a LEED Green Associate. Prior to joining Breakform Design, her architectural career includes previous employment at the City of Los Angeles and a local engineering firm. Apart from architecture, she has been passionate about classical ballet and traditional Chinese dance ever since she was 9 years old.

  • Architectural Designer

    As an architect at Breakform Design since 2022, Jessica has contributed to a diverse range of commercial, multifamily, and single-family residential projects. She enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and continually expanding her knowledge of U.S. building codes and construction methods.

    Jessica earned her architecture degree in Brazil, is Autodesk Certified in Revit, and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Digital Architecture and Parametric Design.

    Outside of work, she enjoys reading, learning new languages, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.

  • Account Receivable Specialist

    Shannon brings more than 15 years of accounting experience to Breakform, where she supports the financial management of design projects and helps keep project finances organized, accurate, and on track.
    Since joining Breakform in 2025, Shannon has managed project financials and budgets, processed invoices and monitored payments, tracked project costs and commitments, and reconciled accounts to ensure financial accuracy. She also provides financial reporting and supports forecasting, helping the team make informed decisions throughout the life of each project.
    Known for her attention to detail and organized approach, Shannon brings a practical understanding of accounting together with a commitment to supporting the creative and operational goals of the Breakform team.

    Outside of work, Shannon is a proud girl mom who enjoys staying active, camping, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.
